Zac Efron,22,"I find that it's always more interesting to live out your fantasies through characters," Efron has said. "It's not necessarily that I'm afraid to be myself - it's that you get to do cooler things, you get to me a more interesting person when you're playing someone else. You get to be all the things you wanted to be, or someone else that was really cool, or be someone that you really hate."
Efron pulled out of Footloose because he was afraid to be typecast in just singing and dancing roles. His replacement, Gossip Girl's Chace Crawford, dropped out of the flick due to scheduling difficulties earlier this week. the former High School Musical star, will act in and produce a movie called Snabba Cash,Reuters reports. He'll play a cocaine smuggler.
